Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood announced on her Twitter she was going to quit the series after a fight with Farrah Abraham.
Portwood said in her first post, “Sad to say but I’m not going to be a part of #Teenmomog. The way I have been portrayed and treated is unfair.”
She said her decision was made after she continued to be treated unfairly even after the reunion show. In another post, Portwood stated, “Nothing has been dealt with or has made me feel any safer to even move on with people who have continuously hidden things from the network.”
Fans of the show tweeted their support to Portwood, even saying they would likely not tune in to the next season of the MTV series.
Her latest post said there was still a possibility she would return to the series. “The day I’m shown some respect by the people I’ve worked with for 8 years is the day I’ll be back. I’ve sacrificed a lot for this show. @MTV.”
The decision came after she got into a heated argument with fellow Teen Mom star Abraham during the show’s reunion special.
According to People, the altercation occurred after Abraham claimed Portwood’s much older fiancé looked like a pedophile.
Interestingly, Portwood’s fiancé, Matt Baier, had actually asked Abraham out but she ignored his advances.
Teen Mom 2 will be back on MTV Jan. 2.
