American Crime Story isn't just resting on its laurels with its successful first season. Not only does it have the second and third season squared away, season four is already in the works.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, showrunner Ryan Murphy has looked into bringing Jeffrey's Toobin's A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President to the small screen.

Focusing on the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the anthology series would be based on Toobin's 2000 best-seller.

Not only is casting for Lewinsky underway, casting for Linda Tripp is going on as well. Tripp's secret recording of Lewinsky and President Bill Clinton added to the fuel that the former White House intern was having "intimate relations" with the then-President.

There is no word on which actor will play the role of Clinton, who faced impeachment hearings following the scandal from 1995 to 1997.

Slated to come out in 2018, American Crime Story's second season will explore the scope of Hurricane Katrina. Season three will follow six months after with a focus on the murder of Gianni Versace in 1997.

The series was a hit with the debut season, based off of Toobin's other best-seller, The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

Murphy's other anthology show, American Horror Story, has just been renewed for two more seasons.
