James Beard Award nominee Chef Pati Jinich sure loves avocados from Mexico.  And who can blame her? Avocados are delicious, nutritious and are a game day staple - how can you really enjoy a game without some spicy guacamole?

Her PBS show Pati's Mexican Table is going on its fifth season. The concept of this show is a passion project for this chef who hails from Mexico City, whose goal is change the perceptions of Mexican food and educate people on this culture’s wonderful culinary traditions.

Chef Pati’s love of food could not be denied.  After being a successful political analyst, she left her chosen path and forged a new one. She took a night program at L’Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg, Maryland and the stage was set for her to start blogging and create her show.

Chef Pati has published two cookbooks: 2013’s Pati’s Mexican Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking and recent addition from 2016, Mexican Today: New and Rediscovered Recipes for Contemporary Kitchens.

Chef Pati took the time to speak with TheCelebrityCafe.com about her culinary journey, tips of how to bring Mexican cooking into your own kitchen, how to add some great new recipes in to your game day celebrations and why we should incorporate more avocados from Mexico into our diets, plus more.
