Magician David Blaine may have finally taken his outrageous stunts too far.

The 43-year-old's show Beyond Magic recently aired and showcased many stunts, but the main event was his famous bullet catch he has been doing since 2010.

The trick of him catching a bullet in his mouth gets crazier each time. This revamp included the magician pulling the trigger on himself in front of 20,000 people at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Blaine prepped a lot for this stunt. Friends would shoot the magician in the chest while he wore a bulletproof vest. He even had a special gun shield fitted to hold the metal cup to catch the bullet in his teeth.

Upon firing the rifle, though, that shield shattered in the process and the magician said "time started to move really slow."

“When the bullet struck the cup, there was a high-pitched ringing in my ears and I felt an impact on the back of my throat. I was sure the bullet went right through my head and that I was dead," he said to The Sun. “Suddenly I became aware of the pain and it brought me back. At that moment I realized that the mouth guard had shattered again, and I was alive.”

Blaine was checked by doctors discovering he had a lacerated throat, leading to his friends refusing to assist him with the trick ever again.

However, the show must go on and so Blaine plans on continuing to still do this trick in his upcoming world tour.
