Flip or Flop star Tarek El Moussa's name has been in the news a lot lately ever since he and Christina El Moussa announced their separation in December. Now, Tarek is publicly blasting some tabloids for their "fake news."
The HGTV star has had it with seeing scandalous headlines coupled with stories from "anonymous sources" about him so he took to social media on Wednesday, Jan. 18, to slam those publications for their reporting. Tarek called the tabloids out for being "irresponsible," but said that he is continuing to concentrate on the most important things in his life.
“No matter the lies, innuendo, salacious gossip and ‘fake news’ that is thrown at me from irresponsible media outlets via anonymous sources, I will focus on what matters most which is co-parenting our children and working hard on our business,” El Moussa wrote on Instagram.
While there have been many different headlines about the once-seemingly perfect couple post their split, what is true is what they said themselves when they first announced their separation which came after an altercation involving a gun last May.
“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” their joint statement on Dec. 12 read. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”
Earlier this month, Tarek's lawyer confirmed that his client filed for divorce from Christina who he has been married to since 2009.
