Mischa Barton was transported to a hospitalized on Thursday, Jan. 26,  for a mental evaluation after police were called the actress' home.

TMZ reported the news that officers were called out to Barton's West Hollywood residence for an incident in which she was hanging over her backyard fence and yelling about her mother being a witch, Ziggy Stardust and the world ending. Ziggy Stardust is actually the name of one of her dogs. The media outlet also reported that The O.C. alum was wearing just a shirt and tie when police arrived and she willingly went to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

People, however, has a slightly different report. That publication noted that according to Sergeant Duncan of West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department, Barton was “fully clothed” and “speaking in coherent” sentences when officers arrived.

This is not the first time the 31-year-old has been evaluated for her mental health. In 2009, she had what she called an  “full-on breakdown” and was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold.
