Before the winter hiatus began, NCIS: New Orleans focused on the case of Corporal Jared Connors, who died in a car crash while on the race track with his girlfriend, Dana Wells. When the team tries to investigate, they find that Dana is hiding something that could be connected to Jared’s death.

While working on the case, Chris ends up in his own personal drama when he discovers he is not actually Tucker’s father. In reality, the baby’s father is someone Melody is afraid of and was trying to run away from for protection. Even though Chris is hurt at the deception, he tries to help by dealing with it himself. This ends up taking him away from work and getting a talking to from Pride.

As the team is shorthanded, they are spread thin but end up getting help from Tammy, despite the fact that she is only supposed to be working with the district attorney, Hannah Lee, on the cartel case. But it is clear she misses the team and has come to like New Orleans. We discover how close she once was to Hannah and that she is conflicted over her choice in whether to go back home.

Sebastian is still training to become a field agent and it is clear Loretta is still trying to get used to the upcoming change.

Only time will tell how things pan out for the team. Will Sebastian be a good fit or should be stay in the lab? Before the next episode airs Jan. 3, catch up on our top ten moments from “Overdrive.”
