Orange Is the New Black star Lea DeLaria and her longtime love Chelsea Fairless have called off their wedding and the two have actually managed to have a sense of humor about the whole situation.
DeLaria and Fairless each took to Instagram with a photo of the late Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor on Wednesday, Jan. 11, to publicly announce their split which they said was "amicable."
“Apparently this was an eerily prophetic choice of engagement photo as our relationship has since gone the way of David and Liza, with one small exception: our split is amicable. Please exclude us from the tragic and basic celebrity breakup narrative,” they captioned the pic on their accounts while the song "It Must Have Been Love" played over the image. “We were happy together for four years and will remain in each other’s lives. In fact, we look forward to finding new ways to torture each other.”
As People noted, the pair announced their engagement in 2015 and were set to be married just a few days ago.
