In an interview with San Diego's KPBS, Leslie Jordan, who won an Emmy for playing Beverly Leslie in Will & Grace, claimed that NBC had ordered 10 episodes of a rebooted version of the series.

"They have ordered 10.  [It] will be for next season...And they will add the guest cast. I will get a phone call," he said.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC declined to comment on the matter but Debra Messing, who played Grace, released a tweet denying Jordan's statements.

"Sadly, Leslie was wrong. Nothing beyond talks," Messing said.

THR reports that NBC has been toying with a revamp of the series since October when the cast reunited for an election-themed short that quickly went viral. Sources say that deals and contracts still need to be arranged. However, both Messing and Eric McCormack aren't opposed to the idea of a new version of the show.

"We're very proud of the series finale and the story that told of the break that friendships sometimes take," McCormack said. "So to play with that and change that story and change our own stories in life, I'm sure we would all be open to talking about it."
