For those who thought Selena Gomez was only good at just singing pop songs, they can think again. Gomez is now trying her hand at producing with the upcoming Netflix drama titled 13 Reasons Why.

According to Us Weekly, the series is an adaptation of Jay Asher's bestselling novel, in which a high school girl, Hannah, commits suicide and leaves behind cassette tapes detailing the 13 reasons why she did it for her classmate, Clay. After reading the book, Gomez was apparently so enthralled by the story that she spoke to Netflix about transforming it into a 13-episode event series and offered to co-produce it with her mother, Mandy Teefey.

In anticipation for the new series, Gomez shared a teaser clip on Wednesday, Jan. 25. Accompanying the clip was a message from Gomez, saying, "A peek at a passion project I've been working on with @Netflix."

13 Reasons Why will premiere on Netflix on March 31, 2017.
