Last week on Shadowhunters, Alec almost died trying to track Jace. This week, Jace must find a way to save him.

Alec is in a coma dreaming of when he first met Jace. Magnus says he’s lost part of his soul between himself and his parabatai. Jace needs to bring it back. Izzy volunteers to find him.

Jace climbs out of the water, but his stele and Clary are both missing. He finds the dead werewolf girl on the shore. A runner comes towards him and freaks out. Jace takes off running while she calls police.

Clary comes back to the Institute. She wants to find Izzy. Jocelyn tells her about Alec’s state. Can she help?

Simon’s mother is worried about him and leaves several messages. She thinks he’s missing.

Luke is on the case for his dead pack member. He’s not sure if Jace killed her or not. What will restore his faith in Jace?

Magnus yells at Jocelyn for causing the problem with Alec. He tells her she manipulates people to solve problems she started. He seems to be pretty on the mark.

Clary is in Aldertree’s office. The ship has been found abandoned and Aldertree wants information. Clary claims she doesn’t remember anything after Dot transporting her to the ship. Has her memory been wiped?

Apparently not. Clary tells Izzy the whole story. The tide tore her and Jace apart. The girls are determined to find him.

Jace hides from the police in a bar. The bartender is a werewolf named Maya who offers him a beer and the landline phone. Who will he call?

Izzy and Clary check on Magnus’s progress with Alec. He’s keeping him comfortable, but eventually he’ll burn out. Jace calls and Clary tells him about Alec. He says he’ll get there as soon as he can. How will he make it past Aldertree?

Maya tells Jace that the Circle kidnapped one of her patrons’ daughter. Turns out Jace is the one that took her. The wolves are looking for a fight. Jace fights back against the wolves, but he’s losing. They throw him through the front window and he runs.

Simon calls his mother back and leaves a message saying he’s going to stop by. He hears someone moving in the dark. It’s Raphael. All of the other vampires Camille has sired have joined her side. He wants Simon to look harder.

Simon goes home to find an open bottle of vodka. Has his mother hurt herself? He calls Clary to tell her his mother is missing. She tells him to grab something important to his mother so she can track her. Can they find her before she does any damage to herself?

Luke gets to the bar and the wolves are itching for a fight. Luke says if Jace is really working for Valentine, he’ll kill him himself. How can Jace prove his innocence?

Aldertree wants to keep Alec in the Institute instead of portalling to Idris for additional care. Meanwhile, Alec is still dreaming of getting his parabatai with Jace.

Jace is badly wounded and Maya is after him. A human finds him and calls 911 before she can hurt him further. At the hospital, he tells the nurse he needs to get to his brother, but they sedate him.

Clary tries to convince Simon to tell his mother the truth, but he’s afraid. Clary feels her presence and they take off running.

Alec is talking in his sleep, but doesn’t wake up. The guard at the door tells Magnus he should leave because he’s not helping. Magnus attacks him instead but Izzy stops him from doing much damage.

Luke and Maya come to the hospital and find Jace’s bed empty. As Jace argues with a doctor to leave, Maya finds him and shifts. Will she really attack in a building full of people? She chases Jace down the hallway. Jocelyn finds him in the stairwell and locks the wolf out.

Jocelyn offers to take him back to Alec. Jace doesn’t want her help. He thinks the Clave will take him. He’s not wrong. He leaves alone.

Aldertree runs a stele over Alec’s arm to reveal a glamour. It’s really the guard and Alec is missing. Izzy and Magnus must have snuck him out of the Institute. Aldertree threatens to let Luke’s pack have Jace. Izzy says Jace is at Magnus’s loft and asks for a portal to bring him back safely to save Alec. Aldertree agrees if she’ll turn Jace over afterwards. Can Izzy really do that?

Magnus begs Alec to come back. He tries kissing him in a desperate sleeping beauty attempt. Alec dreams of Izzy talking him into taking the parabatai bond.

Simon and Clary find his mother at a bar. Clary kisses him for luck then answers her phone. It’s Izzy wondering if she can get to Jace in time. Clary offers to help.

Simon tries to tell his mom the truth, but she says his band manager told him where he’s been. Simon is confused until Raphael enters the room. When she steps aside, Raphael threatens Simon’s mom if he doesn’t find Camille. Mom invites Raphael into her home at any time. Will this be a fatal mistake?

Simon wants to move back home after straightening a few things out. His mother is excited. Maybe Simon can keep her safe.

Clary goes to Luke, but he’s not sure what to believe. Maya and her fellow wolves find Jace. He begs her to let him save Alec before she kills him. Luke and Clary show up and tell Maya that Valentine killed the wolf girl. A wolf attacks Jace anyway and Izzy stops it with her whip. Maya bows to Luke’s dominance.

Jace arrives and Alec dreams of their ceremony. Magnus hands Jace the stone and Jace takes Alec’s hand. The stone falls and Alec starts to struggle. Jace speaks their oath. Can he save him? Alec stops breathing and Jace scoops him into his arms. Suddenly, Alec wakes. Joy and relief fill the room until Aldertree arrives to take Jace. What will the Clave do to him?
