Steve Burns, who many will remember as Steve the friendly host of Blue's Clues, is discussing what life on the other side of a wildly popular children's show is like.
In an interview with Tech Insider, Burns shared that he is almost never recognized as being from Blue's Clues but does get mistaken for other celebs.
"I get recognized as the bass player from Ok Go. When I'm in shape and skinny people think I'm Moby," he said.
Burns also discussed why he left the show and how it feels to be the victim of a death hoax. "When it first happened my mom called me crying," he said. "To be rumored dead for 15 years starts to feel disturbingly like a cultural preference."
Burns also revealed that he still has several of the props from his Blue's Clues days in his possession including the "Thinking Chair," which he says is not comfortable. Burns also kept the notebook and the original first three clues.
Since leaving Blue's Clues, Burns has done voice-over work for insurance and car commercials and also made music with members of his favorite band, The Flaming Lips. He is currently working on a kid's album with Steven Drozd titled Foreverywhere, according to Kidscreen. However, Burns hasn't lost the acting bug and says if he were to have a dream role it would be as the computer guy in a crime drama.
How fitting!
