Critically acclaimed Bates Motel has released a teaser for it's fifth and final season, featuring Rihanna as the iconic Marion Crane.

Marion Crane, originally played by Janet Leigh, was murdered by Norman Bates who owned the Bates Motel in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho from 1960.

Bates Motel as it has come to known is a modern-day, prequel to what is the psychotic unraveling of Norman Bates. In Season 4 (spoiler alert!) we saw him killer his mother, Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga), but as the trailer shows he still possesses her corpse in the basement of the home they shared. As Norman's mentality continues to deteriorate viewers witness his mother is living, and speaking through him.

The trailer also shows Rihanna as Marion Crane in the Bates Motel lobby, soaking wet presumably from a rainstorm, asking Norman (Freddie Highmore) "can I get a room?" The trailer then shows, as it does in the movie, Norman spying on Ms. Crane from a hole in the wall into her motel room.

Producer of the Bates Motel, Carlton Cruse, however, has said the TV show will not mirror the film it is based off of in the end conclusion so fans cannot be certain the fate Rihanna's character will meet.

Bates Motel will flash its blue vacancy sign once again on A&E Feb. 20. Will you be checking in for the fifth and final season?
