Blake Lively celebrated Galentine's Day this year on Monday Feb. 13 with her favorite gals.
Since Blake is all about girl power, it's no shock that she wanted to celebrate her friendships with her best friends. According to E! News, L'Oréal gave the actress the idea to host her own Galentine's Day with her gal-pals. They further report her saying, "Right now, more than ever, it's so great that women are coming together and supporting each other and building each other up."
Blake wanted to have a choice in the activities at the party, so she changed some of L'Oréal's plans. At her party, there was a station where her guests decorated cookies and made friendship bracelets for each other. Her favorite part was a special wall that said, "I am worth____," and every woman had to write what they're worth. In fact, Blake's party focused on empowerment. So, she was able to plan a special night for her best friends, and have a fun with them. It was a win win situation for everyone!
Originally, Galentine's Day was a fictional holiday where character Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation celebrated her lady friends. The point was to bring women together and it definitely did that.
Hopefully her Valentine's Day with Ryan was as fun as her Galentine's Day with her sister and company.
