The widely successful hospital-drama Grey's Anatomy has been killing off its characters left and right and 2017's season 14 will be without another one of the main character.

ABC has not yet confirmed if Grey's Anatomy has been officially renewed for a 14th season that would premiere this fall, but as TV Line has reported one of the main characters will not be returning as a series regular. Spoiler alert: read at your won risk!

Dr. Stephanie Edwards (Jerrika Hinton) will not be returning for season 14, after 4 seasons on the series, due to contractual and filming obligations for Alan Ball's HBO drama in which Hinton will play a lawyer in a mixed racial family. The show does not yet have a title.

This will be the third time Grey's Anatomy has removed a main-character. Previously since Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) was killed in season 11 and Dr. Callie Torres (Sarah Ramirez) in season 12.

It is not yet known how Dr. Stephanie will be excluded from the show and whether or not she will be returning in the future. A lot is up in the air right now about the possibilities of Grey's Anatomy season 14.
