Actor Nicolas Cage's son, Weston Cage, was arrested for a DUI and for evading police in car chase over the weekend.
Cage, who is a heavy metal singer, was involved in a minor motor-vehicle accident on Saturday Feb, 4 in the San Fernando Valley, CA. He started out doing the responsible thing by exchanging information with the other driver, whom he had a fender bender with but when he knew police were arriving to the scene, he fled.
He soon lost control of his vehicle which resulted in him driving across a lawn and knocking over an entire row of mailboxes. The chase continued but not before he hit a street sign and crashed into a tree, causing his car to lose a tire. Gossip Cop noted that the chase ended when the police finally caught up to him and the 25-year old musician was arrested and taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation.
Cage has been known to struggle with addiction. In 2011, he went to rehab for alcoholism after his first run-in-with the law occurred due to a domestic dispute between his now ex-wife Nikki Williams.
