Actor Gary Young has been casted as Mr. Willoughby. In the books Mr. Willoughby, whose real name is Yi Tien Cho, becomes a confidante of Jamie's (Sam Heughan). He has been living in exile and because of that he faces many struggles and feels alone. This exile has given Mr. Willoughby time to write wonderful poetry expressing his unrequited love for women.

Actor Young, is most- known for his films Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon: Swords of Destiny.
