Hit films are making their way back into theaters this weekend with sequels. New installments in the John Wick and Fifty Shades films series are making their debut. The LEGO Movie’s Batman headlines is own film.
Batman takes on the Joker in the new LEGO film, The LEGO Batman Movie. This time, Batman may not be able to save Gotham on his own. He may need to rely on others, including a new sidekick. The PG animated adventure features the voices of Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Ralph Fiennes. The comedic action film plays for one hour and forty-four minutes.
Christian Grey sets out to rekindle his love affair with Ana Steele in Fifty Shades Darker. Now guarded because of how their relationship ended, Ana enacts some strict rules before entering into another potentially dangerous liaison with him. As their bond strengthens, people from his past interfere and try to break it. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan star in the sexy sequel to the hit 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey. The one hour and fifty-eight minute romantic drama is rated R for sex, nudity and language.
Assassin John Wick comes out of retirement with guns blazing in John Wick 2. He heads back into the world of dangerous criminals because of a commitment to his former coworker. He heads to Rome to take down an association of hit men. Keanu Reeves stars in the action film sequel alongside Common, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Bridget Moynahan, Franco Nero, John Leguizamoand and Ian McShane. The adventure thriller runs for two hours and two minutes. It’s rated R for violence, language and nudity.
A Cure for Wellness and Matt Damon’s The Great Wall are two more suspense films, set to enter theaters on Feb. 17. On the lighter side, Ice Cube and Charlie Day’s comedy Fist Fight also makes its debut next week alongside the romantic comedy Everybody Loves Somebody.
