The cast of American Horror Story met for a panel Sunday night when actor Cuba Gooding Jr. lifted up his co-star Sara Paulson's skirt, inciting social media distress.
Paulson, who was standing onstage alongside her other castmates, was greeting co-star Kathy Bates when Gooding Jr. lifted up her skirt and peeked underneath, similar to the behavior of a child. A surprised Paulson pulled her skirt back down and seemed to laugh off the incident, however, social media was less forgiving and waiting for Gooding Jr.
Twitter users were arms about the "skirt-lifting" moment, despite the co-stars seemingly playful demure with each other.
Digital Spy commented on the fact that Gooding Jr. had pulled at Paulson's skirt prior to lifting it, prompting Paulson to give him a playful slap. The panel continued as planned from then on.
So far the actors' reps have not commented on the incident.
