We are so ready for this!

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Ed Sheeran revealed that he is putting together a boy band to sing songs he wrote exclusively for them.

The "Thinking Out Loud" singer described what type of music the band will play and his plans for them.

"(The music is) really, really decent. Superpop, but obviously credible. I'm gonna put three or four boys together and do all the songs, take them on the stadium tour with me."

There is no word yet on what the name of the boy band will be or who will be lucky enough to nag a spot in it.

Sheeran is no stranger to writing music for boy bands.  He penned a few One Direction songs, including their popular 2012 ballad "Little Things," as reported by MTV.

The British songwriter told all to Rolling Stone and was very excited to share his first cover with the magazine on his Instagram Tuesday, March 7.  Check out the cover!

Sheeran's issue of Rolling Stone hits newsstands this Friday.
