Singer, songwriter Ed Sheeran discusses his ambitions to pursue movies in the future.

The 26-year old musician Sheeran expressed he would like to pursue a movie project in which he acts in and makes the music for.

"I really want to make a film that I do the soundtrack for and star in - that's my next thing," Sheeran stated.

He revealed he is a fan of movies like Notting Hill and Once and combining them together would be "a good start," in terms of a project he'd be excited to work on, also adding that he would like to be a part of a Richard-Curtis style film.

"I know Richard because he lives next to me, but we are in talks about 'Comic Relief' stuff," Sheeran revealed to The Sun Newspaper. 'Comic Relief' being a British TV program that raises money for charity.

Sheeran also said he has other movie-making plans with a currently unnamed director at his side.

"I am in talks with one filmmaker that I really f**king love and we are going to slowly but surely put something together," he explained.  "I would want to cast all unknowns. I want to have low-budget, indie, British-made film."

Sheeran also expressed his desire to make music for a film saying, "I don't think I will do an album as a soundtrack, but I will definitely put together a soundtrack with a bunch of my songs on it, but I don't think it will be an album."
