Season 24 of Dancing With the Stars premiered on Monday, March 20, but instead of debating all the dancing and competition, there is one very awkward moment that everyone is talking about.
The chemistry between bull rider Bonner Bolton and his pro dancing partner, Sharna Burgess, was undeniable but it was a crotch grab moment backstage, which the cameras captured, that set the internet on fire.
The now-viral video, shows Bolton place his hand over Burgess' crotch area when she walks over to him. Aware of the cameras everywhere, Burgess quickly brushed his hand away but the moment was seen by the millions watching and of course made its way online.
Following the premiere, Bolton and Burgess addressed the incident and said the bull rider's hand placement was completely accidental.
"I was just stargazed by Nick and Peta's performance and I was looking at the TV screen," Bolton told ET. "I felt her bump into me yet I wasn't really looking at what was bumping into me. There was some hand placement that went south, so to speak."
He then stressed that the moment was "totally unintentional."
Bolton also admitted that he was attracted to his partner the second he met her.
"The day I met her on the ranch … I looked up, they had me leading the horse and I looked out under the brim of my hat, there she was," he recalled. "Just a fiery redhead. [She] just took my breath away, man."
Their scores given by the judges for their first dance was a 22 out of 40, so now it will be up to the viewers to keep them around if they want to see more of their hot chemistry.
