Three people were shot and hospitalized over the weekend when Fetty Wap was robbed in his hometown of Patterson, New Jersey, over the weekend.

USA Today noted that the rapper, whose real name is  Willie Maxwell II, was the victim of a robbery which then led to a shooting around 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

Maxwell was robbed of a chain and some cash, but was not injured in the gunfire. However, three people were taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

TMZ reported that following the robbery, a man named Raheem Thomas posted a photo on Instagram wearing Maxwell's stolen chain. He denies being the person who actually took the chain off the rapper though. Police later arrested him and so far he is facing gun charges for the shootout. The media outlet also reported that sources said Thomas and the hip-hop artist have had beef for quite some time and Thomas has even warned Maxwell to stay out of Paterson.
