Alec Baldwin got into a feud on Twitter with producer Dana Brunetti on Wednesday, April 5.

Baldwin claims in his recently released memoir Nevertheless, that he never knew the age of his female co-star and love interest Nikki Reed in the 2006 indie film Mini's First Time. In the film Baldwin plays Martin Tennan who has an affair with his stepdaughter, Minerva "Mini" Drogues, played by Reed.

“I was forty-seven, and it never occurred to me to ask how old Nikki Reed was. When I found out, just as we finished, that she was seventeen, I flipped out on the producers, who had told me something different,”the actor wrote in the book.

Brunetti, who produced the film, said that the actor was aware of Reed's age.

"It's a lie," the Fifty Shades producer told the Hollywood Reporter. "I read it and was like, 'What the f**k. Of course he totally knew how old she was. That’s why there’s no nudity in the movie. He knew before we even cast the movie. I think he’s been method acting Trump too much and he doesn’t know the difference between fake news anymore."

The two went after each other on Twitter with Brunetti saying that Baldwin knew how old Reed was, that Reed was one of four actresses that Baldwin had approved and that he got messages from the crew and other producers that Baldwin knew how old Reed was during filming.

Baldwin responded by saying that he learned of Reed's age from a hairdresser. He then called Brunetti a "Hollywood zombie" and said that he unlike Brunetti has work to do.
