Former Bachelor star Chris Soules' attorneys are denying that his client left the scene of a deadly crash after he was arrested and jailed earlier this week.
As we reported, authorities in Iowa responded to an accident on Monday, April 24, in which Soules hit a man on a John Deer tractor. Kenneth Mosher, the driver of that tractor was transported to local hospital but later died of his injuries. Hours after the crash, the former reality star was picked up at a residence by police.

Soules was detained and bonded out of jail the following day. In a to 911 call immediately following the accident, Soules can be heard trying to help Mosher and his lawyers defended him saying that their client acted appropriately and did what he was supposed to after hitting the victim.
“Soules acted reasonably and did everything in his power to provide aid to Mr. Mosher,” his lawyers said in a statement.
Sgt. Scott Bright, a spokesman for the Iowa State Patrol, countered that statement by telling the Des Moines Register that, “He [Soules] stopped to assist, but then he just walked away … He still left the scene of a fatality accident.”
During the call, the ex-Bachelor star was heard checking Mosher's pulse and trying to apply what sounded like CPR, however, in the middle of his efforts, Soules told the dispatcher that he was going to hang up and call right back. The call ended then and Soules did not dial back.
His next court hearing is scheduled for May 2.
