The team investigates a heist when weapons belonging to Justus Bancroft are stolen. Even though there was a shootout between the police and the perpetrators, the police were only shot with rubber bullets. One of the perpetrators is Josephine Bellacroix, a marine who was injured in the shootout. When she is found deceased, the team feels there is more to what is going on than just missing weapons.
In addition to the case, Pride is in the process of wiretapping Mayor Hamilton. However, he can only listen to any conversations that involve the Clearwater investigation. While he works on the wiretap with Patton, the rest of the team focuses on the case. But when they find out just what the heist was about, Sonja has a difficult time accepting what the outcome will be. She makes a decision that could severely jeopardize her place as an agent.
This episode is leading us toward the end of the season and the battle to put an end to Mayor Hamilton’s dirty dealings.
