Nelly Furtado and her husband of nine years, Demacio Castellon, have called it quits.
The singer appeared on Loose Women on Wednesday, April 12 and made a comment regarding a "breakup" which was something no one knew anything about.
"I was going through a breakup and I would sing to myself while I drove on these long drives and I thought to myself, 'I'm so lucky that I can write songs because I can soothe myself with them,'" she explained.
She then came out and said, "I am single now. Someone here needs to update my Wikipedia -- it's not helping my dating life!"
Following her appearance on the show, Furtado's rep sent a statement to ET confirming that she and Castellon have in fact called it quits.
"Nelly is out of the country promoting her new album, but on her behalf, I can confirm the news is true and Nelly has been and is in great spirits personally and professionally," the rep said. "She is currently in the U.K. and Germany promoting her new album."
Furtado and Castellon tied the knot back in 2008 but the exact timing of when they split up is not known.
