With the finale of Big Little Lies that aired on Sunday, April 2, fans expected it to be the end of the series. However, Reese Witherspoon, one of the stars on the show, hints otherwise.

While the HBO series originally consisted of seven episodes, the actress dropped some news during a chat on Facebook Live.

"One of the main questions everyone keeps asking us is is there going to be a season two," Reese said. "We've been talking with the writer, and you guys should Facebook Liane Moriarty and tell her how much you want to see Big Little Lies 2. That would be good. She's thinking about ideas, and so we would love to hear ideas."

There is speculation that Witherspoon might not return to the show, but she would be happy if a certain Jenny from the Block would appear in Monterey.

"We thought maybe J.Lo should be in Big Little Lies 2, because I'm a huge fan of J.Lo," she said.

The mother of three also dished that she would have loved to switch places with Laura Dern in playing Renata.

"I think I would've been good at it," she remarked, as Laura also said she would have liked to portray Madeline, Reese's character.

There is no word yet on whether the author of Big Little Lies would pen a sequel or concoct an entirely different scenario for a potential second season.
