Before there was HGTV, there was Bob Vila.  For nearly forty years, he has been the pioneer and leading expert in DIY home repair.  Since April is National Pest Management Month, he joined forces with the National Pest Management Association to help us detect and git rid of pests.

Vila has been a staple in the DIY space before DIY was a thing.  He is most known for hosting the hosting the Emmy-winning, This Old House. He also worked on the shows Home Again with Bob Vila, and Restore America. He is involved with many charitable pursuits including Habitat for Humanity and the National Alliance to End Homelessness.

Vila, a Cuban-American was also instrumental in the restoration of Ernest Hemingway’s Cuban house.
