Well it looks like we now know who Katy Perry wrote her breakout hit "I Kissed A Girl" for and it's her pal and fellow singer Miley Cyrus!

The "Malibu" artist revealed as much during an radio interview with KTU’s Cubby and Carolina Show on Tuesday, May 16.

"When she came out with 'I Kissed A Girl,' I was doing the Hannah Montana movie, and I heard her on the radio," Cyrus recalled. "They said, 'Who did you write that about?' She said me!"Cyrus recalled. "And I was on a four wheeler, actually — my dad had this four wheeler, this is how hillbilly we are, we had a radio attached to the four wheeler — and I heard it and I screamed and started freaking out."

So there you have it, straight from Miley's mouth and there's no need to debate if the two did in fact ever kiss since we've already seen video evidence of that.

Cyrus also admitted that Perry is her oldest friend.

"We were actually just realizing the other day that next year, we’ll have been friends for 10 years," the 24-year-old said. "I think that’s my friend that I’ve known the longest. Which is really, really weird."
