Going to college is expensive and Nicki Minaj knows that so on May 7, the rapper offered to pay students' college tuition if they showed her proof of straight A's.
The 34-year-old tweeted on Saturday night, "Show me straight A's that I can verify w/ur school and I'll pay it. Who wants to join THAT contest?!?! Dead serious. Shld I set it up?"
The story goes that Minaj decided on doing the contest after a fan tweeted a meme at the rapper asking for financial assistance.

Not only did "Regret in Your Tears" artist receive many requests but she made good on her agreement and quickly as TMZ learned, the beneficiaries have already received funds from her.
Minaj even made sure to ask why students needed the tuition. From book fees to paying back loans, students had to direct message her with bank information.
For now, Nicki has closed the contest but she said she would do "more in a month or two." So many of her fans will be keeping an eye out for that.
Last week Minaj attended the Met Gala, in which she wore a H&M outfit inspired by designer Rei Kawakubo.
