Throughout this past season of The Walking Dead, Josh McDermitt's Eugene Porter, hasn't been a fan favorite.
Fans of The Walking Dead are taking their feelings out on Josh McDermitt instead of simply complaining about the character he plays. This has prompted the actor to deactivate his social media accounts for the time being.
McDermitt had warned fans at a recent Facebook Live event. It seems audiences of the AMC show have taken it to a whole new level.
“Don’t send me death threats,” the 38-year-old said.
In addition to saying he would report the threats to the cops, he said, “I’m just sick of it. You can hate Eugene, I don’t care. I think, I'll argue that you're wrong, but you can think what you want, but when you start saying you hope I die, I don’t know if you’re talking about Josh or Eugene.”
Fans have vocalized that McDermitt's character has changed during season seven. The actor has been on the hit show since 2014.
While season eight premieres in October, it will be interesting to see where Eugene's storyline will be headed. McDermitt is set to appear in the Twin Peaks reboot, coming out later this month.
