There is some very good news for fans of HBO's Game of Thrones as there are reportedly four spinoffs of the popular series in the works!
Though nothing is set in stone just yet, HBO has announced that it hired four different writers to work on these potential spinoffs.
“We’ll take as much or as little time as the writers need and as with all our development, we will evaluate what we have when the scripts are in,” a spokesperson for the network said.

Variety reported that the four seasoned writers hired are Max Borenstein (“Kong: Skull Island”), Jane Goldman (“Kingsman: The Golden Circle”), Brian Helgeland (“Legend”) and Carly Wray (“Mad Men,” “The Leftovers”). Goldman and Wray will be working alongside original creator and author George R.R. Martin as well as showrunners Dan Weiss and David Beinoff who will serve as executive producers.
The seventh season of GOT returns on July 16 and the following season 8 will be the show's final. However, if these spinoffs do make it onto the network it will be welcoming news for the GOT fans who just aren't quite ready to let go.
