Congratulations to the new parents!
Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder welcomed a new addition to their family on July 25 with the birth of their daughter Bodhi Soleil Reed Somerhalder.
While her name certainly holds up to celebrity style for uniqueness, the meaning is quite beautiful. Bodhi in Buddhism is the understanding possessed by a Buddha regarding the true nature of things and is translated literally to "awakening." Soleil, which is more common, translates from multiple languages to "sun."
The two announced their pregnancy with dual posts on Instagram back in May.
Their epic love story began in 2014 and has been a romantic whirlwind in every way since from red carpet PDA's to a plethora of fur babies including cats, dogs and even a horse! They were engaged in 2015 and married soon after.
How can we not be happy for this beautiful couple?
