As we say goodbye to the most recent set of Legendary Pokemon Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Lugia, Niantic has revealed that three new characters can be seen starting today - Raikou, Entei and Suicune.
Here's the catch - each Pokemon will only be seen in ONE region at a time. They change locations again Sept. 30 and Oct. 31 giving each region just one month to capture the Legendary beings.
According to The Pokemon Go website:
- Raikou, an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Americas.
- Entei, a Fire-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout Europe and Africa.
- Suicune, a Water-type Legendary Pokémon, can be battled throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to the new Pokemon, Niantic announced they have reached field-testing phase on EX Raid Battle (formerly Exclusive Raid Battle). The feature will be available at select Gyms before the feature is made available globally. Passes will be sent out as early as Sept. 6. Watch for yours!
