This award recognizes excellence in all areas of online video including acting, directing, producing and writing. More than 30 awards are presented annually in the categories such as comedy, lifestyle, food, branded video or series, acting in comedy and drama, ensemble cast, breakthrough creator and more. They also have the Purpose Awards that celebrate creators, brands and nonprofits that make a difference in their communities and making the world a better place.
Some categories actually feature a fan voted category where people were encouraged to vote from Sept. 12 through Sept. 26.
The Streamy Premiere Awards went out last Sunday with Ariana Grande, Honest Trailers with Ryan Reynolds and The Young Turks being among the award winners.
Something a bit odd to note is that five out of the ten nominees for Creator of the Year were not present for the awards. Maybe they all will choose to show up for the 10th year of the show? However, many of the winners and losers will likely vlog about it soon.
