The picture perfect couple, Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have called it quits.
Citing scheduling issues, the two have decided to go their separate ways, while trying to remain friends. The pair began dating in January, and went public with a kiss at the Met Gala on May 1.
An insider told People, “She and Abel have been going back and forth for a few months about their relationship. It’s been hard with him being on tour and her shooting in New York. That wasn’t easy on them.”
The separation comes just after Selena opened up about having a life-saving kidney transplant over the summer, mad possible through an organ donation from friend and roommate, Francia Raisa.
But it's friend Justin Bieber who Selena has been hanging out with lately. TMZ spotted the pair Sunday having breakfast together.
Even though Abel said he was okay with the former couple hanging out, he has wiped Selena off his social media and unfollowed her, her family and Francia.
While the insider told People Selena and Justin were not back together, we're not convinced that's why she and Abel broke up.
