Ohio's broad landscape and welcoming attitude equal amazing movies.
Ohio. The Buckeye State. A land that’s been home to eight Presidents, has their very own Rock & Roll and Football Halls of Fame and, of course, owns a famous amount of buckeye trees.
It's becoming a widely know fact that Ohio is also very welcoming to filmmakers — made possible through the Ohio Film Office. Whether shooting in the larger cities like Cleveland and Columbus or heading out to capture the more rural areas, the state offers a unique signature, unlike other states.
Did you know blockbuster movies like Avengers, classic films like A Christmas Story and even indie, coming-of-age flicks like The Kings of Summer all have scenes shot in various locations throughout the state of Ohio?
Or how about lgbt cult classics like Gypsy 83?
