Kobe and his Granity Studios will debut the show April 12 exclusively on ESPN. The Academy-Award-winning Kobe Bryant, is the writer, producer and host for the show and it will feature his in-game analysis, as he breaks down the games throughout the 2018 NBA Playoffs, including the NBA Finals.
The special premiere edition of the show that will air on April 12 will showcase Kobe breaking down the 2009 Western Conference Finals Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets where his Lakers clinched a berth to the NBA Finals.
Kobe Bryant spent his entire NBA career captivating fans by his resounding athletic ability, machine-like scoring efficiency, killer instinct and the detail in his game approach.
ESPN has historically documented Kobe’s spectacular display of athleticism over opponents.
But as his body began to break down, Kobe Bryant began to tap into more into the cerebral processes of the game, breaking down all aspects of offenses and defenses like a chess master in order to obtain victory.
And with his Hall of Fame NBA career over and his filming career in full swing, he will mix his storytelling imagination with his basketball X’s and O’s genius to bring his new show Detail to life.
Detail will air 15 episodes, including multiple episodes in the first two rounds of the playoffs, three in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals and up to seven for the NBA Finals.
