Stephen Hawking continues to make a difference beyond his life.
On the day of his funeral, Stephen Hawking paid the bill for 50 homeless people at Church in Cambridge.
On Sat., March 31, while hundreds gathered to mourn the famed physicist at the University Church of St. Mary the Great, 50 homeless residents were treated to a three-course Easter meal.
A note accompanying the meal read "Today's lunch is a gift from Stephen."
Food Cycle Cambridge provided the meal. They also disclosed that the donation from the Hawking family would provide way more than just the 50 meals, but did not disclose an amount.
Guests were touched by the donation and raised a glass to Stephen Hawking before digging in.

Eddie Redmayne, who portrayed the cosmologist/physicist in 2014's Theory of Everything, was one of the guests in attendance at the funeral. Six physicists from Gonville and Caius, Hawking's old alma mater, carried the coffin to an applause from the crowd.
Thank you, Stephen.
