Call of Duty has been the go-to for those interested in tactical first-person shooting games since 2003.

And on Thursday the franchise announced via Twitter that Call of Duty: Black Ops IV is set to release Oct. 12 with pre-orders for the game already underway.

Black Ops IV, which is a part of the Black Ops game-arc, is the fifteenth installment of the series which was developed by Treyarch and published by Activision.

This chapter of the game will feature multiplayer combat, the largest collection of zombies to date, featuring three undead adventure.

The game will also feature Blackout mode which transforms the entire Black Ops universe into a gigantic Battle Royale transplanted into the largest Call of Duty map ever made.

This game seems to be taking some cues from games like Fortnite and PUBG which have received massive popularity and acclaim for their Battle Royale gameplay.

So, expect for Call of Duty to be throwing their hat in the ring of elite shooting games this fall.

Treyarch still has revealed a lot of details involving the intricacies of the new game and its modes, but the news is expected to come as the games’ release date nears distribution.
