"Ultimate test of survival"
Fortnite continues to offer unique experiences to users, this time by offering a limited time ranking for solo play called Solo Showdown with massive prizes.
Players have until 10 a.m. Monday to play their way to winning 50,000 V-Bucks. In fact, the top 100 players are slated to get prizes.
Prizes include -
- 1st Place: 50,000 V-Bucks
- 2nd - 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks
- 5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
- 51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks
Epic is warning players that it will take a lot of work to get into those brackets though. Players will need to play 50 games to even rank. And, according to Engadget, only those 50 games go towards your total score. The good news is anyone who actually hits the 50-game minimum will get a one-off spray.
"We’ll be using the Solo Showdown as a one-off stepping stone to learn how to build great events for all types of players. If you crave testing and improving your own skills, give it a try and let us know what you think. To thank you for participating, play 50 games and get a unique spray."
The other good news, for some players at least, is there will be no in-game chat during the solo game.
The showdown will not change core solo gameplay. Find all the rules here.
Fortnite is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and iOS - Android users are still in the dark with no release date yet for the platform.
