Actress Allison Tolman, known for Fargo, joined the Castle Rock cast, ahead of Hulu releasing the first 3 episodes on July 25.

She will play a recurring character as the sister of Melanie Lynskey's character. From producer J. J. Abrams, Castle Rock is named after the fictional town in Maine that is used prominently in many of Stephen King's novels, novellas, and short stories. Though King is not associated with the project, creators Sam Shaw and Dustin Thomason were "gratified" when he said gave his approval, according to Deadline.

Castle Rock will follow in the footsteps of American Horror Story and showcase a different storyline each season. Hopefully, this will allow the show to cover various Stephen King stories, as the creators confirmed the show will jump around in time as well.

Scott Glenn, Sissy Spacek, Terry O'Quinn, and Andre Holland, among others, also star, according to SlashFilm.
