Ben Affleck, star of Justice League, has entered rehab for the third time with the help of soon-to-be-ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Affleck has entered rehab to seek treatment for alcohol addiction after Garner and a friend reportedly staged an intervention at Affleck’s Pacific Palisades home. A source tells People Magazine that Affleck was receptive: “He is seeking treatment. He knew he needed help and was vocal about it.”
After the visit, Garner and the friend drove Affleck to a rehab facility in Malibu.
Garner’s visit on Wednesday was preceded by a delivery of liquor to Affleck’s home on Monday. Affleck has battled with alcohol addiction since 2001, but has more recently announced his completion of treatment in March of last year:
In the wake of his and Garner’s split, Affleck has been linked to 22-year-old Playboy model Shauna Sexton, who proclaimed her love of whiskey in Playboy Magazine. People reports that the liquor Affleck picked up on Monday “appeared to be Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch whisky.”
