Mark Kingswood, internationally acclaimed British-born vocalist has done the impossible with his cover of R.E.M's "Losing My Religion."
It's hard to imagine comparing any cover to the classic rendition, but Kingswood's version of the song is hauntingly beautiful. Mark slows the tempo, elongating the words until they wrap around your soul, sending shivers up your spine.
The setting for the video matches the song, having been shot at The Asylum, an old church built in the mid-1800s in London.
With what could be interpreted as looking through a thermal imaging device, the video cuts in and out of Mark's elegant piano to glimpses of the interior of the church, encouraging the haunting tone of the performance.
"Losing My Religion" is from Mark's debut album, Strong, which was released on 21K Records earlier this year.
