Michael Angarano is set to play Jack's brother on the new season of TIU
Michael Angarano, star of Jim Carrey's Showtime series I'm Dying Up Here, has been slated to play Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) brother Nicky on the upcoming season of the critical and fan favorite NBC series This Is Us.
While the mystery of Jack's death was finally solved towards the end of season two, many questions still remain about Jack's past. We know he went to Vietnam with his brother Nicky, but we don't know much beyond that.
Dan Fogelman, creator of This Is Us reported that this season would take a deeper dive into Jack's past, including his experience in Vietnam. In order to keep things accurate, they even brought on Tim O'Brien, Vietnam journalist and author of The Things They Carried as a consultant in June according to Deadline.
Michael Angarano, who was born in Brooklyn, but now resides in California got his start acting when he was still a child. He was in Almost Famous, Cover Me: Based on the True Life of an FBI Family, Little Secrets, Sky High, The Bondage, Black Irish, Man in the Chair, Snow Angels, The Final Season, One Last Thing..., The Forbidden Kingdom, Ceremony, The Brass Teapot and Red State.
He had a recurring role on the original run of Will & Grace as Elliott and he reprised the role for the 2017 reboot. He currently plays stand-up comic Eddie Zeidel on the Showtime series I'm Dying Up Here.
It will interesting to see what surprises Michael Angarano will bring to the role of Nicky.
