On-screen and off-screen couple Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin from HBO's True Blood got married over the weekend in California.

The couple’s reps proclaim, "Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were married on Saturday evening in Malibu surrounded by their family and friends," People reports.

The co-stars wed at sunset, under a white tent at a beachside home in Malibu, California. Among their guests were True Blood creator Alan Ball, as well as their co-stars Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, and Carrie Preston, according to MTV.

After the ceremony, Moyer, 40, changed into his board shorts and ran into the ocean with some of his guests, with his bride cheering him on, Us Magazine reports.

Us also reports that Paquin’s brother-in-law said of the ceremony, "It was great. Somehow they've managed to stay real in the middle of this unreal world. It was quite sweet."

The newlyweds announced their engagement last August and have been together since 2008, when they met on the set of their vampire drama, True Blood.
