Reality TV star and real-life bounty hunter Duane Chapman was rushed to UCLA Medical Center’s ER yesterday after feeling pain. According to Radar Online’s source, the 57-year-old Dog the Bounty Hunter star was told to go the hospital “to avoid possible serious complications” that could have resulted in a blood clot.

Earlier this year, Chapman was treated for a blood clot following an injury he received while trying to capture a fugitive. Luckily, yesterday’s hospital admittance was just a precaution. He was sent home after being examined by doctors.

Chapman was in Colorado last week supporting Tom Tancredo’s run for governor. Dog and his wife Beth live in Hawaii, but were in Los Angeles promoting the new season of their reality show when he fell ill.

The seventh season of Dog the Bounty Hunter, which includes the show’s 200th episode, premieres with an hour-long special on Oct. 6 at 9/8c on A&E.
