Now I find it impossible to believe anyone out there does not know what the whole Twilight thing is all about, but for that one person out there I will give a quick recap.
The Twilight Saga is based around the forbidden love of a teenage girl (Bella Swan) and a vampire (Edward Cullen). There is also a teenage werewolf (Jacob Black) who happens to have fallen head over heels in love with Bella. All the films up until now have shown us the struggles of this young couple, and the enemies these two have made by being together. There has also been mounting tension between the local werewolf pack and the family of vampires.
In Breaking Dawn Part 1 we finally see Edward and Bella get married, something which has taken a very long time, and a lot of compromising to happen. Now that it finally has happened, what comes next. Well with normal people it would be the consummation of the marriage, but for this couple, not even that is a straight forward activity. Bella becomes pregnant with a half vampire half human baby which is endangering her life. On top of that, the pack of werewolves have heard about this hybrid baby and see it as their job to destroy it and the mother. Who will prevail, the friendly family of vampires which we have come to love, or the furry, friendly, noble and sometimes unpredictable werewolves?
We have been transfixed with these films ever since the release of the first installment Twilight back in 2008. Now look at us, we are nearing the end of this fantasy journey with the biggest confrontation left to come in part 2. I personally will be seeing both of them as I have seen all the others and cant help myself. But I have to say I am looking forward to part 2, it all seems to kick off then, the tension which has been mounting between various factions finally explodes and everybody is forced to take sides as the Cullen's biggest and by far most dangerous enemy is coming for them.
It has been said time and time before that these films are girl's films, and in some aspects that could be correct. I, however, watch these films for the fights, confrontations and adventures between the werewolves and the vampires, with the relationship of Edward and Bella taking a back seat. But however you justify it to yourself, you will at some point, probably end up seeing these two last installments, so why not see them at the cinema with everyone else. Check out the trailer below to see what part 1 has to offer.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is out November 18.
