Crackle nail polish is all the rage right now, so for Independance Day our friends at Bari Cosmetics sent over Pure Ice crackle polish in red, white and blue with glitter top coat.

Crackle polish works the same as the wall paint - you put on the base coat then the crackle finish. Patience and drying time are key to a good finish.

This combination, with a white base the red and blue crackle, really pops. The instructions say to use two coats of crackle, but I prefer just one to see more of the base. And of course you need sparkle to compete with the fireworks!

Pure ICE is one of the best crackle polishes available. It has a quick drying time, evenly coats nails and is formaldehyde, toluene and DBP free. The crackle finish itself is the best of all I've tried. I've done my nails with polishes that I'm grabbing remover before it dried it looks so awful.

Pure ICE is available at many locations including Wal-Mart and Walgreens as well as online at //baricosmetics.com/>Bari Cosmetics.
